Just because I’ve never read the books, doesn’t make me any less of a fan than those who have. Harry Potter, the movies, have been a significant part of my childhood. They have inspired me, I connected with them, and they bring me comfort and happiness just as the books did to others. Someday I will read the books, but the movies are really what captivated me.

I’m still an asshole but you’re still less of a fan than those who read the books. You’re missing so much. Harry’s wit, Peeves, S.P.E.W. (no matter how annoying that is), the back stories of so many characters and so many events. You’re missing part of the story. Part of the magic. The day you read from Mr. and Mrs. Dursley to All Was Well then I will have no problem saying that you’re as big a fan as the others. Until then, I’m sorry, I can’t.
^ I agree.

me agree’s you are missing out on soooo much the books are like kdjhdlghofdlgdfglfhglfgjkf

^THIS

you may not be any less of a fan of the movies- but you are of Harry Potter. you are missing out on SO much. and how are you not curious or inspired to read the books? my father made it through 3 movies before saying “ok i want to read the books” and proceeded to be one of those who got ‘em the day they came out.

people will fucking judge me forever that i havent read all the books but have seen every movie. i am still a harry potter fan no matter fucking what and it pisses me off that people judge me for the fact that i cant sit and read the books.

if you actually love the movies that much, why haven’t you read the books yet? i’m sorry but if you really love something you want as much of it as you can get. for most people that works out to reading the books and then waiting eagerly for the movies, but for you it should just work the other way around. you are less of a fan, because you aren’t even trying. people are serious about harry potter, and you are not one of them. there’s nothing wrong with that, except that you seem to think you’re a superfan.
(at least listen to them on tape, i hear it’s quite good that way)

did you really just call me less of a fan becuase i havent read all the books? i read 1-3 and that was hard on me, because i am dislexic, so go ahed and call me a lesser fan because i couldnt keep up reading them. and i didnt have time to do them on tape, i was doing 12 hours of dance a week, plus cheerleading and theater and gymnastics and tutoring

so fuck you for calling me a lesser fan
